‘The tales of Sheikh chilly’ have been creating humor in the life of every Asian citizen, especially every Pakistani child.
Sheikh chilly is famous for his imagination. All time he engrossed in his thoughts. He used to dream even during day and this was the reason behind his unemployment. Once he was sitting at the corner of road, a man came and asked him to carry an oil pot for him to the market place. He also told sheikh that he would give him five rupees for the service. Sheikh agreed and went on. During all his way, he thought about his future. He thought that he would buy eggs with those five rupees. Then chicks would come out of eggs. In few days they would turn into hens and cocks and hens would lay more eggs and within few months he would become an owner of poultry farm. He would marry a beautiful girl. He determined himself that he would not become spend thrift and when his children ask him for icecream then he would refuse. Being engrossed in his thoughts , sheikh shook his head and the oil pot fell and oil spilled. Merchant got angry.
No doubt, its funny but in modern days where everybody is talking about inventions and revolutions, out of many theories there is a theory about visualization and law of attraction.
Author of THE SECRET, Rhonda byrne says, ‘Visualization is the process of creating pictures in your mind of yourself enjoying what you want. When you visualize, you generate powerful thoughts and feelings of having it now. The law of attraction then returns that reality to you, juat as you saw it in your mind. Visualize! See it and feel it. This is where action begins. Visualize! Rehearse your future.’
Bob proctor says,’ when a wealthy person reaches their goal, it is exactly what they expected. Precisely because, through visualization, they have already been there.’
The famous scientist Albert Einstein said,’Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.’
Neither I am defending the character of Sheikh Chilly nor I am very sure about the effects of above quotes. Only thing which I noticed is our behaviour towards different people. There is no one in our society to tell those people, ‘ yes, you can do that.’ There is no one to pat on their shoulders and say, ‘ believe in yourself.’
Dilemma of our society is that we consider these types as fools. Though we have many examples in history as well like Thomas Edison. He too was different.
My question is why we create difficulties for such innocent souls who have tendency to do something extra ordinary.
I recently watched a video clip of Nick Vujicic. He is a man without limbs. He too suffered a lot during his childhood not because he was disabled but the people made him realized that he was.
Let we all determine ourselves to promote positivity and motivation in society and especially to those who are really in need of.
Perhaps one word of kindness was the only thing for poor Sheikh Chilly which could change his life. Unfortunately, he became a joke. Nobody ever think about his business mind. Nobody values his imagination.
